These principles are how we hire and fire and operate every part of
our team and our culture. We are a team of world class professionals who are the Michael Jordans of our field.

It's not enough to satisfy the customer. Make the customer dance and shout your name to the world. Build raving fans by going beyond what is normal! 
If there is a better idea out there, your competition will catch up. Never be afraid to Cannibalize your own business. Always be paranoid because someone will take your market share. Keep changing and don't be afraid to drastically change your strategy or your processes. Never fall for sunk cost fallacy.
The real world is messy. Do not fear the mess. Embrace ambiguity and change. Only thing constant is change. Move fast and break things.
Be quick, fast and agile. Break into smaller teams and let the frontline soldiers have full authority and permission to get the mission done. Eliminate bureaucracy and overhead.
If no mistake are made you are not making enough decisions. Don't bet the whole company on large change but rather make calculated small risks frequently. 
Leaders are owners. They think long term and don’t sacrifice long-term value for short-term results. They act on behalf of the entire company, beyond just their own team. They never say “that’s not my job."
Our vision is limited by our own view. Seek out to find people who disagree with your view respectfully. Never surround yourself with comfortable agreeing people . Seek discomfort all the time.
Do not settle on your laurels and reach for new goals. The company and team can always be replaced by competition. Keep climbing and keep growing. 
Thinking small is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Leaders create and communicate a bold direction that inspires results. They think differently and look around corners for ways to serve customers.
Leaders have relentlessly high standards — many people may think these standards are unreasonably high. Leaders are continually raising the bar and drive their teams to deliver high quality products, services, and processes. Leaders ensure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed.
Don't be frugal just to be frugal. Be calculated on the results for bang for buck. At Amazon as an engineer, our team was denied equipment that could have saved thousands of dollars of man-hours for the team, but leadership was forced to "be frugal" and eventually we lost revenue and valuable time. Always make decisions looking at the big picture.
If you find an engineer that can build software quality of 10 average engineers, pay him 12 times the salary to keep him in the company long term. Always pay the premium for top Talent to keep them there. Employees are our customer too.
